Workout August 13th

Cycling hill sprints today.

  • One block hard sprint up the steep hill
  • One block across the hill recovery
  • Repeat for four blocks of climbing
  • Roll down the hill and repeat the four blocks of climbing for a total of eight sprints

Each time I do hill sprints the fourth and eighth sprints are hell. The block is less steep than the previous three but it is a longer block and I get nauseous at the end of it.

I rode into Fremont and went to Dad Watson’s after the sprints. It is a good place to go to study French and drink beer. I was still buzzing after the workout, my pulse was 90-100 for a few minutes after I got there and my hands were shaking a little. Hill sprints work me out more than I realise when I’m doing them.
